| Once Amish is a
25 year retrospective of the paintings and life of Greg Kempf, American
Artist. The exhibition consists of over 100 of Greg's pieces featuring
hand printed and tinted lithographs and woodblock prints of simple Amish
life and American history. He began his wood
engravings in 1984, when he moved f rom
a remote wilderness cabin in the pacific northwest to the rolling hills
of Amish country in central Ohio. He actually became a member of the Amish
society, painting scenes in and around his life.
Greg is very interested in the
preservation movement and would like to raise funds for saving America's
historical landmarks. He has been working on a pictorial "History of
America" series.
Greg's works were once displayed at the
Andrew Wyeth Gallery in Chadds Ford, PA.
Greg Kempf's
work will be on display from
